Highlights among the events in 2011 included a film night, duck race, pet show, scarecrow competition, evening of clairvoyance, Scottish evening and children's discos. Victoria Week has been taking place in the village for 25 years, and all the old favourite events will also be laid on, including the ghost tours, 4x4 safaris, book fair and photography exhibition, plus sporting and musical events.
