Most local bus services into Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms are operated by Stagecoach Bluebird.
The most regular bus service into our area is the “Royal Deeside” service that runs from Aberdeen along the main A93 road through Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater to Braemar. There are up to 9 services a day to and from Braemar (about 2 hours travelling time) and up to 18 services a day to and from Ballater.
Alternative services from Aberdeen run through Torphins and Tarland to Aboyne and Ballater and through Alford to Strathdon and Corgarff. Full details of all services and timetables can be found at www.stagecoachbus.com/bluebird/timetables.php.
There are also summer “Heather Hopper” services that run through Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms on their way to Aberdeen from Grantown on Spey and Aviemore and from Pitlochry and Perth.
