Banchory and District Initiative (BDI) is a voluntary organisation working for:
- Better community facilities
- A more vibrant local economy
- The promotion of local heritage and culture
- Enhanced surroundings and a cleaner greener environment
- A strong community spirit
BDI is an organisation that works closely with Banchory Community Council, Aberdeenshire Council and many other local and statutory bodies. It is a community organistion that was established in 2004 to promote, lead and facilitate community development plans and projects in an area centred on Banchory.
BDI's activities are based on community action plans developed by BDI and the Banchory Community Council following Planning for Real and Making it Real Exercises.
