Golf - Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms, Scotland

Scotland is the home of golf and Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms can boast some of the finest and most scenic golf courses in the country. The Royal Deeside Golf Trail is a new initiative. With over 10 local courses to choose from, a full week or more of golf will simply fly by. Inchmarlo, Banchory, Braemar, Aboyne and Ballater all have stuuning courses.

Ballater, Inchmarlo at Banchory and The Lodge on the Loch at Aboyne are fine golf courses with excellent food in their restaurants.

Ballater Golf Club nestles in one of the most beautiful parts of Royal Deeside. Lying in a circle of hills, and with several holes close to the River Dee, the course offers a round with glorious views. It has a fine restaurant.

Whichever courses you choose, you are assured of a warm welcome and excellent clubhouse facilities. There are golf courses in Ballater, Aboyne, Inchmarlo, Banchory and Braemar as well as other villages and of course many other courses in North east Scotland, Aberdeenshire  and Aberdeen. Outwith the the Royal Deeside area, a  major golf development is underway north of Aberdeen at Menie Estate  www.trumpgolfscotland.com/ and the Royal Deeside area is building links with this attraction in terms of promoting the Deeside area as a touring base for visiting international golfers.
